Education for Tomorrow, Faith for a Lifetime.
I'm excited for another year at Saint Paul School. My inspiration to teach came from the fulfilling childhood I had growing up and realizing how much I can give that back to the next generation. My program is based on self efficacy and leadership through movement. Students are held not only to individual responsibility but also team responsibility.
Teaching Philosophy
My goal is to foster lifelong curiosity, awareness of your body, and an appreciation for movement. In this class, physical education is more than just sports. You will learn how to take ownership of your hard work and reap the benefits.
The Courage to Try: I encourage students to step out of their comfort zones, embrace mistakes, and explore new physical activities without fear of judgment.
The Physics of Play: We will explore the "why" behind the "how"—connecting human movement to the laws of motion, such as how angle alters a projectile trajectory or how base of support affects balance, and my favorite is how to keep the ball when everyone wants a piece of it.
Value Over Score: Success is measured by effort, exploration, and a deep appreciation for what our bodies can achieve, building a foundation for a lifetime of wellness.
